Poetry Competition

The team at Hitchin Creative is delighted to launch a poetry competition for the young people of our town. Entries can be on any subject and of any length. We are working in association with The Creative Mental Health Charity PoetsIN on a series of workshops around Hitchin, but entrants don’t need to have been involved in those.

Writers must either live, work or study in Hitchin or the surrounding villages.

Entrants should be aged 11-18 on the closing date of Thursday 15 June 2023.

Poems – one per entrant – should be sent to Hitchin Creative, c/o Hitchin BID, Churchyard, Hitchin, including this form, signed by a parent, carer or teacher giving permission for entry in the competition. Poems received after the closing date of 15/06/2023 will not be entered.
