The directors of Hitchin Creative are a small group of busy people and we have agreed that the role of Chair should rotate around the six of us to help spread the load.
Our first Chair was James Willis, who took us from the germ of an idea to a fully-formed Community Interest Company. Many of you will have met James and he has led us through an incredibly successful first year, including the first Hitchin Creative Day, the introduction of your website and several productive social get-togethers, meetings with councillors and research into the setting up of our organisation. In September, James passed the baton to Hilary Seabrook (formerly Robertson), who helped guide the events around our launch events at Hitchin Museum and the Market Theatre.
There is a lot more on the horizon and we will all be staying in touch to help promote, educate and share the creative spirit that is alive and well in Hitchin.
