Hitchin Creative has been running the Festival since 2024 and we are delighted at such a varied selection of events this year. The creativity and diversity of our town is on display and there are lots of events you won’t want to miss.
Hitchin Festival was established in July 1991 as a one week programme of events. Since then it has grown into a month long celebration of the culture and entertainment on offer in Hitchin.
Each July the festival programme promotes a huge variety of events including poetry, art exhibitions, concerts, theatre, talks, walks, comedy and kids’ entertainment.
This year, there are around 100 events, most of which can be booked online – all the details are included alongside the event listing.
There will be copies of the programme available around the town, and especially at The Visit Hitchin Shop, Churchyard. It is also available online at www.hitchinfestival.co.uk
