Yoshie Allan is a Japanese-born, UK-based visual artist.
Her work brings a sense of playfulness and poetry to mixed media, including acrylic painting, layered fabric collage, abstract ink drawing and metal leaf gilding. She is drawn to organic shapes, light and shadow found in nature, as well as emotional flow and imaginative connections, which she uses as starting points for her work.
Through layering, texture and material exploration, Yoshie creates visually rich and immersive pieces that aim to evoke curiosity and quiet reflection. Her work reflects a deep engagement with the organic and the tactile, shaped by material sensitivity and an intuitive approach to making.
Her work has been exhibited in both the UK and Japan, and she continues to engage with audiences through solo and group exhibitions, public art projects and workshops.
