Benslow Music Open Day and Concert
Join our instrument loan scheme open day and celebrate string instruments. Enjoy live music, talks from experts, demonstrations of violin making. It’s FREE and everyone is welcome! We’ll have live music from tremendously talented young musicians, talks from national experts, demonstrations of violin making from the British Violin Making Association and you’ll have the chance to talk about your instrument and wander through our beautiful gardens on Benslow Lane. It’s FREE and everyone is welcome.
PLUS we are holding a Celebration Concert for Benslow Music’s instrument Loan Scheme, conducted by Peter Stark and performed by some exceptionally talented young musicians.
An ensemble of our older borrowers will be coming together under the direction of acclaimed conductor Peter Stark to perform a programme of works for string orchestra:
• Dag Wirén: Serenade
• Edward Elgar: Serenade for Strings in E minor Op 20
• Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Divertimento in D Major, K136 “Salzburg”
Tickets are £10 and all ticket revenues will go towards supporting our work in making sure talented, young musicians are able to borrow good quality violins, violas, cellos, bows and wind instruments. https://ow.ly/lsUY50VtNBG
