Actor, Writer and Producer

Glyn Doggett is a Hitchin born actor, writer and producer. He is a founder member of Hitchin Creative. Glyn trained at  Hertfordshire Theatre School (which was based in Hitchin), graduating in 2003. His experience as an actor has seen him working in theatres across the UK in straight plays and comedies for several reparatory companies and off-west end productions. In recent years he has also been working on the production side as a producer of his own shows and as stage/company manager on several other touring productions. Glyn is also co-producer and presenter and up until recently co-ran the comedy club ‘Mostly Comedy’ which has been a monthly fixture in a variety of Hitchin venues since 2008 and has also had runs at the Leicester Square Theatre and the Edinburgh Fringe. Through running the club they also produced a spin-off podcast with interviews with acts both past and present. Alongside his acting work, Glyn is marketing/ production manager for the Market Theatre in Sun Street, Hitchin, overseeing their touring shows and promoting all their work both on tour and in the local community. Working at the venue has allowed him to get involved in a number of local arts projects over the years.
