The Living Theatre Whitwell

The Living Theatre Whitwell CIO is an Open Air theatre space founded during the pandemic with mental wellbeing, the arts and the local community at the heart of its aims. 

We produce and host high quality theatre, workshops and arts events created with industry professionals working alongside members of the local community and the wider public. A female led organisation, we believe that access to nature and the creative arts are crucial for learning and development, and pivotal for maintaining positive mental wellbeing across all ages. By engaging with creative projects in our outdoor space, we increase social and mental wellbeing, develop transferable skills and encourage personal development whilst ensuring that everyone, regardless of economic background has access to the arts.
