DESCRIPTION:Now into it’s fourth year\, Holwell Life Drawing manifests as regular Monday & Wednesday evenings classes – both 7-9pm – at Holwell Village Hall – near Hitchin\, Hertfordshire. \nAll levels of ability welcome – from novice to pro. The class is set up to be fairly loose / generic – so that people can work in whatever direction they choose – be it analytical – or something more expressive – in friendly and relaxed environment – with tutor Matt Burden (MA Visual Communication\, Royal College of Art) on hand to offer advice and guidance to people that best suits where they’re at\, and what they’re trying to achieve. \nAges 18 and upward. \nWHAT IS LIFE DRAWING \nLife drawing – drawings made from the living naked human form – can be an important way for anyone with an artistic impulse to exercise and develop their skills – I’ve always likened it to the artistic equivalent of going to the gym. It’s also really fun. \nTHE CLASS \nWe’ll start with some quicker poses to get everyone warmed up\, before moving to some longer poses so you have some time to explore in more depth\, with a break half way through to share and assess our efforts. \nWHAT YOU NEED TO BRING \nAll you really need to get going is some paper and a pencil or two – it really can be as simple as that – and there’s much to be said for the simplicity of that. \nHowever\, the world is your oyster – so you may want to consider charcoal\, crayons\, pastels – or something weird and wonderful if you’re up for some experimentation – whatever takes your fancy. DESCRIPTION:If anyone would like a FREE pitch at this Community Event in Priory Gardens\, Royston on Saturday 24th September (12.30 – 16.00 for stalls\, stage entertainment will go on until 19.00) then please get in touch with details of your organisation or business by contacting chair@creativeroyston.org \nMore details of the arts festival can be found using this link: https://www.creativeroyston.org/royston-arts-festival-2022/ \nThe Community Event is part of Royston Arts Festival & they are looking for people who wish to send a message about arts\, crafts etc … though they will also welcome those sending messages about community issues such as the environment\, recycling\, diversity\, etc.. \nYou would need to supply your own small-ish gazebo and any tables or chairs that you require. The pitch would be FREE but if you wanted to actually sell anything on the day and take payment\, rather than just give out information (which could be about your business or products)\, they would ask for a 10% contribution of your takings to go towards their costs. Creative Royston which stages the arts festival is a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by unpaid volunteers.

DESCRIPTION:Now into it’s fourth year\, Holwell Life Drawing manifests as regular Monday & Wednesday evenings classes – both 7-9pm – at Holwell Village Hall – near Hitchin\, Hertfordshire. \nAll levels of ability welcome – from novice to pro. The class is set up to be fairly loose / generic – so that people can work in whatever direction they choose – be it analytical – or something more expressive – in friendly and relaxed environment – with tutor Matt Burden (MA Visual Communication\, Royal College of Art) on hand to offer advice and guidance to people that best suits where they’re at\, and what they’re trying to achieve. \nAges 18 and upward. \nWHAT IS LIFE DRAWING \nLife drawing – drawings made from the living naked human form – can be an important way for anyone with an artistic impulse to exercise and develop their skills – I’ve always likened it to the artistic equivalent of going to the gym. It’s also really fun. \nTHE CLASS \nWe’ll start with some quicker poses to get everyone warmed up\, before moving to some longer poses so you have some time to explore in more depth\, with a break half way through to share and assess our efforts. \nWHAT YOU NEED TO BRING \nAll you really need to get going is some paper and a pencil or two – it really can be as simple as that – and there’s much to be said for the simplicity of that. \nHowever\, the world is your oyster – so you may want to consider charcoal\, crayons\, pastels – or something weird and wonderful if you’re up for some experimentation – whatever takes your fancy. DESCRIPTION:The Letchworth Open is an annual exhibition that will take place at the Broadway Gallery between September and October 2022 celebrating our region’s creative community. Each year we aim to create Hertfordshire’s largest and most celebrated exhibition by bringing together some of the region’s most talent artists under one roof\, whilst discovering new practitioners in our ever-expanding community. Additionally\, the Broadway Gallery will be awarding three exhibiting artists a £1000 bursary and a solo presentation at the Gallery in 2023.

Different areas around the county will be producing their own art trails plus we will be producing theme-based flip-books/videos.
